I made Qwerkywriter because I have such a respect for typewriters. I own 2 a Remington Rand Portable and a old upright Underwood.
When we get to the CAD engineering phase, (i hope if it funds) I really hope to make this vintage community proud! Please feel free to ping with suggestions and comments and I hope to make you guys proud! ;D
It's what many of us have wished did exist. I imagine it being bundled with Qwerky-software, a basic word processor app with a "typewriter paper look" and let's you choose an old style typewriter typeface. :) Hopefully keyboard modders will not become keychoppers in order to emulate this! :)
I really like it, and hope it takes off. I also hope it takes the "Romance" out of glass keytops; if they're on contemporary keyboards and all over the place (fingers crossed) maybe the keychoppers will look for something else to do. Or, perhaps they could buy their keys from Brian!
It looks very interesting, and a good mock up. I know that I'd never buy it- I've got the real thing, and tend to be low tech anyway. Good luck though!
