The Typosphere... now for your pocket-typewriter

Hello everyone -- back when Google redid the layout system and backgrounds, the old format I'd set up here got  transferred over by some kind of Blogger voodoo. If you're reading this on a phone or other narrow screen, you may not notice any difference, but all the parts that used to be over there 👉 can now be found way down there 👇

Figuring that we're nearly into a new decade of the 21st century, we could stand for a mild makeover every five years or so. Also: I've have finally, begrudgingly embraced emojis. So as far as this blog goes, I'm not even ten years behind the times.

Type on, good people, type on.

Hello Typospherians. I am reaching out to you for help.

Typosphere.net net is the front page of the typewriter internet. It's been the place to post type-in notices, share stories about typewriters in the news, review new typewriter books, and present the typewriter-loving world. Now, Typosphere.net needs your help.

The Typosphere.net domain name needs to be renewed and I would love to get it registered for the next five years. The cost to do that would be $100. If everyone who has loved and supported this great site could chip in a few clams we could get this domain locked down for the next half-decade.

Your support means everyone can keep posting type-in updates, typewriters in the news, book reviews, and launches for the next five years. Hey everyone -- I should update the "Typewriter Day" page to reflect the 2012 events, and I'm far too busy/lazy to scrube through everyone's blogs. Can you please post a comment with the link or links to your celebrations/blog posts/acts of typewriter awesomeness?

As with any major holiday (ahem) the celebration didn't strictly have to take place on Saturday. Show-and-tell time, everyone!
