New book: Notes from a Public Typewriter

Western Pennsylvania type-in January 20

Announced by Marty Rice: There will be a type-in Saturday, January 20, at Lakeside Community Church, 1006 Rowena Drive, Ebensburg, Pennsylvania. Noon to 1 p.m. Paper, envelopes, stamps and SNACKS will be provided. (As well as typewriters.) The theme is "Love Letter Type-In" in prep for Valentine's Day. John Mayer precipitates a typewritten avalanche

Popular singer-songwriter John Mayer (shown here in "California Typewriter") has just given typewriter shops a big shot in the arm.

On January 10, he posted this message on social media:
