It is great to have a new Typosphereian.
The enthusiasm in the piece was palpable, this was really fun to read, even though for many of us it's preaching to the choir. I do hope we see a new typewriter blog come from this.
Heh, a story both extremely familiar and yet entirely novel. It's quite thrilling to see typewriters catch fire to a mind. So what's stopping his joining the Typosphere? NOTHING (except perhaps himself not doing it). Bring it, Sweden! :D

A typecast all the better for its imperfections!
Touching story. I hope it all works out for you and you've already found a valuable use for your typewriter. It took me years to figure out the possible advantages my portable typewriter would have over my laptop computer. It's been years since I've adopted the Royal de luxe for updating www.blanketsin.com, now I'm considering venturing out further to outreach the writing community while maintaining blanketsin dot com, a writing prompt forum where livejournal bloggers can spark up new friends. Maybe create an alliance, a connection, or perhaps even get discovered. Hit me up if you want to chat about typewriters. I could use the pings.
