Power cut forces courts to pull out typewriters and reschedule hearings

Can this be a post-apocalyptic sign of things to come? The article is not as thrilling as my imagination, but here it is, in case you want to read it.

I'd like to think that it was possible that this could happen in my workplace, but while I know of at least 3 other typewriters in the complex, all of them are electrical. DOH!

Perhaps I should keep my Hermes Baby in my office, just in hope.
